DUBBEL
The ideal Belgian ale for the cold winter nights!
This dark ruby ale is inspired by the classic Belgian Dubbels, these are a relatively strong, yet light bodied ale fermented with a distinctive Belgian yeast.
The use of sugar is often frowned upon in craft brewing circles. Judicious use of sugar is necessary in this Belgian beer style to capture the light body, high alcohol and still retain the malt flavours.
The Emerson’s Dubbel has a delicate malty profile with a subtle bitterness, just enough to balance the sweetness of the beer. A perilously easy beer to drink, we would suggest to enjoy it in moderation!

Malts : NZ Pale Ale malt, Belgian Pale Malt, Special B malt, Aromatic malt,
Hops : NZ Pacific Jade and NZ Styrian Goldings.
